A high-speed internet connection is necessary for downloading the CAT material. The CAT preparation material will be available for download through amcat website on October 1, 2018. The All India Management Association (AIMA) recently announced the launch of their own computer-based test (CBT). The AIMA Common Admission Test (CAT) is an entrance exam which assesses ability and aptitude in quantitative reasoning, logical reasoning, verbal capacity and reading comprehension. It is conducted by the All India Management Association in collaboration with Pearson VUE Services Pvt Ltd. Candidates are admitted to management programmes across India based on their CAT scores*. The CAT exam will be offered in select cities of India including Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai. The selection of centres will be solely at the discretion of AIMA. AIMA reserves the right to cancel/alter/change/re-schedule the examination at any point of time without prior notice. All registered candidates are required to appear for the exam on the scheduled date and time only at any one of the given test centres in India on their own expense. Any deficiency in attendance or reporting late at examination centre even by few minutes will lead to automatic disqualification of candidature for admission test purpose. The CAT exam will be held in two levels, namely Class I and Class II. While the CAT 2009 is based on CAT 2005 level, CAT 2012 is based on CAT 2009 level. These are being designed for differently-abled candidates in accordance with the requirements of the Government of India With respect to disability-friendly policies towards inclusion of differently-abled candidates in mainstream education system. The examination is divided into four sections in each level namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Reading Comprehension with a duration of 120 minutes in each section.The CBSE has decided to refer for re-examination the question papers released by them earlier in view of certain errors made in these papers after they were released to examinees. The re-examination of these papers is expected to be conducted from July to September 2018. Some of the question papers were leaked on social media platforms. The CBSE has been taking serious note of these leaks and has been keeping a special vigil over them. As a precautionary measure, the CBSE has decided to issue notification for re-examination in all the subjects in which there was a leak earlier. In case any subject is already being re-examined, notice will also be issued in that regard separately. The examination authorities have already started receiving requests from various students who have appeared for the exam for re-examining their papers in respect of certain subjects. The CBSE will also issue the notice in the coming days, stating conditions for re-examination. The content of all syllabus, pattern of questions asked and other details are available at the CBSE website. The CBSE is committed to providing free advice to students on any subject related to preparation process.
